We all would concede that each one of us, irrespective of age, gender and personality; have that one favourite white shirt in our closet that we have over-used and have worn repeatedly in different occasion. The most common ways ofstyling this shirt that you often get to see are- with jeans and with formalattire.
A white shirt is a piece of clothing that is versatile and goes well with many other outfits. So, why just stick to only two old styles?
Be bold and step up to experiment with new styles and trends. Below are few new and interesting ways of styling a white shirt- that you should really try if you want to look cool and fashionable.
1. With pants- Yes, with pants…but it’s not necessary that everytime you go out, you wear the same old outfit duo- a white shirt and jeans. It's time you drop this trend and explore something new.
You can add some twist to this old style, by replacing the slim-fit jeans with an over-sized blue jeans and wear a black corset on top of your shirt. To spice things up, wear a layered necklace set or a layered bracelet, but don’t go overboard by choosing both.
The next option that you can go for is slipping into a black leather pant; with the shirt and black corset remaining the same. In this case, keep one end or both ends of your shirt untagged. (If you are not a corset lover, then skip wearing it). High-heels are a must for both these looks.
2. With skirt- For a more feminine, elegant and graceful vibe, you should opt for skirts. No doubt there are variety of them out there. However, before experimenting, you should very well know how and what type of skirt will go best with white shirt.
If you are up for a high-fashion street style, then this first look is for you. You need to team your shirt with a fringed skirt, then wear fancy sunglasses and ankle-strap heels. Keep your hair open and spray some misty perfume to create a romantic aura.
If you are going to a mehndi/marriage function, then rather than wearing lehenga, you can do something new. Pair your shirt with a long floral or heavily embroidered or sequinned skirt. Wear big statement necklace to accentuate the attire. And do not forget to apply lipstick and some blush for that pop of colour.
3. With dress- This is a very easy go breezy outfit idea, yet classy and stylish. Wear a spaghetti dress according to your choice; it can be floral, plain, satin, or anything. And on top of it, wear your shirt; if you want you can let one sleeve of the shirt fallloose on your shoulders and tie the loose ends of your shirt in the middle. With this you can choose to wear sneakers or stilettoes (whichever suits you best). For jewelleries, pick something light-weight and trendy (e.g, dangle & drop gold earrings) to match the overall look.
